The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the world in unimaginable ways. The health and safety of our employees and their families, customers, business partners and all members of the Kioxia community remains our primary concern.

Recently, the Japanese government expanded its state of emergency declaration to cover the entire country. During this time, we will continue to meet the needs of our customers while doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our employees. Production lines at both our Yokkaichi Plant and Kitakami Plant will continue to operate with enhanced safety measures in place to protect our people.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, we have implemented safety measures across all Kioxia Group’s operating facilities in line with recommended precautions from national and local public health authorities, including:

  • Remote working for non-essential employees
  • Suspended business travel, both domestically and internationally
  • Virtual meetings, education sessions and conferences instead of in-person events
  • Thorough hand washing and mask wearing both at home and in company facilities

As this global situation evolves, we will continue to monitor and follow guidance from public health officials and do everything we can to prioritize the health and safety of our people.
