Kioxia Holdings Corporation, the world leader in memory solutions, today announced that Kioxia Iwate Corporation has been certified as achieving ‘Platinum Status’ by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), supporting the rights and well-being of workers and communities worldwide affected by the global supply chain. Awarded in respect of the company’s Kitakami plant in Iwate prefecture, Japan, following an audit under the RBA’s Validated Assessment Program in September 2021, the Platinum Status is the highest level of certification under the program.

Conducted by a third-party company commissioned by the RBA, the audit of the Kitakami plant certified its labor and safety standards as well as its environmental protection measures; it further confirmed that the management and operation of the facility observed the highest ethical standards. The plant accordingly secured maximum ratings and Platinum status.

Sustainable management is a key priority for the Kioxia Group. We will continue to aspire to be trusted by all our stakeholders and engage proactively in activities that promote sustainability.
