March 1, 2019 – TOKYO – Toshiba Memory Holdings Corporation today was incorporated as the parent company of its wholly owned subsidiary company, Toshiba Memory Corporation, through a sole-share transfer.

Under the new structure, Toshiba Memory Holdings aims to contribute to the value of Toshiba Memory Corporation and its respective subsidiary companies, including by strengthening governance through enhanced management and oversight of group companies and by assuming responsibility for group strategy including M&A, resource allocation, risk management and fund raising.

The new structure will also allow Toshiba Memory Corporation to streamline its operations and decision-making as well as concentrate on its core competences of R&D, manufacturing, marketing and sales of memories and SSD products.
